Well, I'm trying to use a Lexar Secure Jumpdrive to get some old files off of an old machine running ME :} and well, when I try to go to the jumpdrive in My Computer, it gives me an error saying it can't find MFC42U.DLL. I already download a MFC42U.DLL file and now I know that's for the NT branch of OS's...what can I do to get this jump drive to work?

Hi, get rid of that dll-- it can cause problems on your system.

That problem may be solved by installing updated drivers, and for sure if you apply the following solution:

What happens is that the Secure Software is not compatible with 9x platform.

Since that drive is not staying there & is going back to your other system, look for an autorun.inf file in it, and rename it( both name & extension to be sure--it auto-launches the not-compatible-with-your-system Secure Software), and rename it back when you return it to your other system.

If it was going to permanently stay on the win9x system, then you could delete that file, the whole Secure Software Folder, format it.....
