rupert86
I'm a civil engg. student, and have two assignments (submit report, abt. 50-60 A4 pgs):For surveying, the topic is "Evolution of surveying".For chemistry, it is "applications of thermochemistry in civil engg."I can fairly easily do the surveying one, but I don't know the head-tail of what the chemistry one means.Help PLZ. Zxian
Well... start with the Thermochemistry part...I (as an Engineering Physics student) see that as using something that blows up (and generates heat in the process) by means of a chemical reaction.Applications of this for Civil Engineering could be to use dynamite to blast your way through a mountain for a railroad.Just a thought....Engineering Physicists build the weapons... Civil Engineers build the targets.Just a funny quote... ERTW!!!
rupert86
Good point. I'm gonna find out what to do with this assignment. Also, for materials, I think concrete will be the best topic...eh?? among various types of metals and non-metals.
