BeenThereB4
Anybody have any tips on integrating this driver into Winpe? The obvious method of adding the inf to the inf directory and the sys file to drivers does not work. I tried adding the mof file to system32\wbem\mof also. There must be a trick! Here is the inf:; NETM4CX.INF;; D-Link DGE-530T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter;; (C)Copyright 2003, D-Link Corporation.;; All rights reserved;; INF File for NDIS5.X Miniport Driver for Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP (x86)[Version]Signature = "$Chicago$"Compatible = 1Class = NetClassGUID = {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}Provider = %DLINK%CatalogFile = m4cx.catDriverVer=08/27/2003, 6.23.0.0[Manufacturer]%DLINK% = DLINK,NT.5.1[DLINK.NT.5.1]%DGE530T.DeviceDesc% = dge530tXP, PCI\VEN_1186&DEV_4C00&SUBSYS_4C001186[DLINK]%DGE530T.DeviceDesc% = dge530t, PCI\VEN_1186&DEV_4C00&SUBSYS_4C001186;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------; BeenThereB4
It turns out that there is something unusual about this driver, because BartPe cannot load it even with his nifty new simple network card driver method and neither can ERD Commander 2005 load it with it's built in "Add Network Driver" function. The mystery continues. By the way, using the Device Manager Clone for BartPE fails to load it also. It will take a major genius to figure this one out. edlogic
i am surprised i was not able to find the answer anywhere -but i figured it out .i found some information about a directory that was missing .i386\system32\wbem\mofand the file that needs to be theregewmi.mof ( from the dlink driver cd )so what i did was -i created those directories and put the file in it theni copied the wbem directory to another place and right mouse click ( copy )that way i could paste it quick into the system32 dir when pebuilder was buildingwhen i ran the pebuilder and it overwrote the bartpe directory - i watched the files being built from another explorer window and when the system32 dir was made i pasted the wbem dir into it .so when pebuilder finally got around to making the iso file - the wbem dir and the mof file were there .from that the bartpe booted and my networking for the dge-530t is working great -
edlogic
or maybe you could just do what i just now found on a german website - ( translated by google )i tried it and it works !what is weird is that it does not make the wbem or the mof dir - it puts the mof file in the system32 dirhttp://board.gulli.com/thread/261201-barts...?postid=2550231Hello!@chris86Property today still something with the Fritz Card unfortunately experiments, but without success. The map classified as you already assume as network map.My email address reads cdbooter@freenet.de@allThe D-left 530t runs. I had to make a change in the original driver inf. In a line is located: wmi.CopyFiles = 11, wbem\mofI replaced the comma by a backslash; thus wmi.CopyFiles = 11\wbem\mofThe changed netm4cx.inf, in addition m4cxwxp.sys and gewmi.mof into the file Driver and then gent's.Greetingmore cdbooter
