NTVDM.EXE Error

Recommended Posts

I have a problem when I'm using 16bit Apps.

This problem occurs sometimes not always..

Situation goes like this: User is working in 16bit DOS enviroment and in one moment he gets a black screen with cursor blinking in the upper left corner.

I connect succesfuly to that PC and all I can see is black screen and cursor trails as I move a mouse across the screen.

We have TameDos installed, a program which is preventing 100% processor usage by NTVDM.

When I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and then cancel I got the error message that I posted below:

When I choose Ignore on that tab NTVDM crashes with the following error:

ntvdm.exe Application error

The instruction at "0x61007d=e" referenced memory at "0x000b8000". The memory xould not be "read".

Click OK to terminate the program or cancel to debug.

Any Ideas??

No prob man ;)

We don't have SP2 installed on our PC-s 'cause one of our bank apps isn't compatible with it.

As this user is not using this "problematic" application I would try to install SP2 on her PC.

Hope to fix this problem with SP2
