member11 Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 i remember after installing nvidia driver and going to "display property", you will see "nvida tab where you can change all the settings and configuration" (forget what it calls).how can i include this package of software in unattended setup without using "setup.exe".?i don't have any problem installing nvidia driver in my computer BUT i would like to have nvidia tab in "display property".if you know how, please share.thank you.
prathapml Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 There's nothing you need to do to get this. It will come easily by itself - use the OEMpnpDriversPath method to include nVidia forceware drivers.
mc134 Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I integrated the nvidia drivers using the OEMpnpDriversPath method and when the install was done they were installed but no nVidia control panel or tray icon. When you go to device manager it says nvidia on the driver manufacturer and the driver version number is number 71.21. There must be something else that needs to be done. Any help would be appreciated.
prathapml Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Then there's nothing wrong with the method! You are using beta drivers, or unsigned drivers which are not the best to play with.Get a proper driver downloaded from here - nVidia driver download. It works perfectly for me, and for everyone who has done this, so it will for you as well. Do post back with results!
mc134 Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Thank you prathapml for your quick response. I will try another build with signed drivers and will post back.
member11 Posted January 28, 2005 Author Posted January 28, 2005 There's nothing you need to do to get this. It will come easily by itself - use the OEMpnpDriversPath method to include nVidia forceware drivers.how do you do that.?drivers\video\"setup.exe" OR drivers\video\"extract the content of setup.exe here".?or your way(PLEASE explain).thank you
prathapml Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 contents extracted - that's what I use. Just for the sake of those who might not have got it working:1. Open 66.93_win2kxp_english.exe with winrar, extract all files into a folder called "nVidia".2. Now put this "nVidia" folder into "$OEM$\$1\Drivers\" on your XPCD.3. In winnt.sif, ensure this exists:[Unattended]OemPnPDriversPath=Drivers\nVidiaNow it should work. If it doesn't work, RE-READ the above 3 steps and do it exactly as said. If you still have problems, you are welcome to post them here.Note: - Extraction was done with winrar. - Also, you can delete the unnecessary setup files to save 5 MB, but do not do it when testing for it to work, because you might unknowingly delete a required file.
