Windows File Protection.XP SP2 is a bear to work with and restricts alot of actionsaway from the user.I found this beta tool which i've not tested but, it doeshold promise for turning off SP2 restrictions via Windows File Protectiona.k.a. Data execution Prevention.Windows File Protection Switcher 0.8 Beta 5 stars because it works as advertised...this can permanently turn on or offwindows file protection ON WIN XP SP2,SO YOU CAN REPAIR OR REMOVE BAD FILES, ETC.Windows File Protection Switcher lets you disable and re-enable Windows File Protection (WFP).
