directx 8 problem

I get this message when i test direct x 8 in expert tool.

"Direct3D test results: Failure at step 5 (GetDeviceCaps): HRESULT = 0x8876086a (3D not available)"

What can I do to fix this?

I think I solved it.

I disabled direct3d and enabled again. then it worked.
