MarcL
I am installing LSI U320 drivers using the method discribed in http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/READING/addraid.htmMy process is to kick the install off from DOS using the winnt.exe /U /S command.this copies all of the needed files to the target drive, and reboots. After the reboot, I get an error that the symmpi.sys file is missing. The file is located in $WIN_NT$.~LS, if I manualy copy it to $WIN_NT$.~BT then all is fine. What INF file contains the information on where "winnt.exe" copies the file to?Thanks. Corvettaholic
I believe txtsetup.sif is what you are looking for. Check out this link:http://www.mail-archive.com/unattended-inf...t/msg00107.htmlCould be really useful, because they are also using symmpi.sys and it goes into great detail all the steps taken to fix the problem. MarcL
That article is interesting, but is not using the same method I did to add the SCSI drivers. My txtsetup.sif file has the following:symc810.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4symc8xx.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4symmpi.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4symc810.sys and symc8xx.sys both end up in the $WIN_NT$.~BT directory.. Why does symmpi.sys end up in $WIN_NT$.~LS?
