XP's Local Permission

Are the local permissions set as they were in Windows 2000 Pro?

TechNet article Q266118 talks about restoring the default NTFS permissions in Windows 2000. Does this still apply to XP and if so, should I apply the same template? I'm having problems running applications, logged into the domain as a general user.

Many thanks!

I checked all the permissions set in this article:

h*tp://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q244/6/00.ASP

which are the default permissions for Windows 2000, against the default permissions on my XP installation and they are all the same except I don't have Terminal Server User under any of them. I am running XP Pro which isn't the server edition so that's why.

Sounds to me like it might me restricted settings in the network policy being loaded from the DC.
