Vicond Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Target Audience: Home users - who are taking up a time-consuming process of re-installing Windows, manually installing essential applications, downloading windows updates, and tweaking their OS to perfection on every re-format.The target audience is for Home users, but dose that mean Windows XP Professional will not work with this? And if it dose work, are there any things I need to do different to set it up? Thanx, and sorry if this has been posted before, witch im sure it has. But I couldnt find it on the search feature.
Martin Zugec Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 It is not about OS, but about target group of users - unattended cd/dvd isnt solution for companies, they use network install/RIS as first layer and SMS/distribution system as second layer
prathapml Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 That's right.Vicond, the same method in the guide will work all the way from win2k pro/server to XP to ws2k3 server.
Incroyable HULK Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 It is not about OS, but about target group of users - unattended cd/dvd isnt solution for companies, they use network install/RIS as first layer and SMS/distribution system as second layerI use a combination of both for our organisation (500 to 1000 users)
Martin Zugec Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 2Hulk: I am using PXE/CDrom enabled network installation with Unicenter Asset Management and Unicenter Software Delivery...
