January 16, 200521 yr Hey everyone,I just thought I'd share my knowledge about a problem that I stumbled upon with my dad's computer.He had installed Nero InCD a while back because it came with the Nero Suite that he had bought. He was running NIS2004 at the time. When his subscription ran out in September, he upgraded to NIS2005. He hasn't used his computer very much since then because he travels a lot for work.To make a long story short... the only thing this computer can do now is connect to the internet, print... and type stuff.No USB mass storage devices work (including cameras). Floppy's dead (with windows, it works in BIOS). CD-RW drive dead (works in BIOS).I've dug around, but all that I could find on this was that people who ran into this problem had been forced to format and re-install. Neither of the software companies have released a fix or update for the problem.Just to warn people...
