hasilvera Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 hey everyone, im new to the forum and have a quick question. im a little confused on what a distribution folder is for. I always thought that after u make distribution folder, u put all ur apps in at (along with windows installation of course) and it can be installed over the network that way (since its a shared drive). while researching it a little it seems that thats not the case. so basically id like to know, what is a distribution folder really used for?thanks
Incroyable HULK Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 The term Distribution Folder is used to describe the ROOT of your Unattended CD. If you follow the guide, it will be C:\XPCDIf you want to install over the network you'll have to go with RIS and again, the root of your distribution folder will be called the same
