Gard Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Hi all,I have a Radeon 7000 dual head graphics card that I want to mirror the information that's on the first monitor on the second monitor. I have been able to do this on my laptop by activating the second monitor and then de-selecting "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor." The second monitor then remains active but, rather than streching the desktop over two monitors, it displays the monitor 1 desktopFor some reason on my desktop PC (I've actually tried this on three desktop PCs with dual head graphic cards), once I activate the second monitor it automatically checks the "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor." Once I de-select "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" the second monitor becomes inactive. Is this a laptop only feature? Does anyone know how to change this or what I'm doing wrong? Thanks,Gard
gamehead200 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Have you tried uninstalling or reinstalling the latest drivers?
Gard Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 Yup, done that (also to make sure I had the latest drivers). It's also strange that the same thing happens on all desktops that I checked...Gard
