Adding alternate shells (not GUIs) to XP

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if there is a way of adding an alternate shell (not a desktop replacement like Aston or Talisman) to XP. I'd like to get something like bash or csh on my computer since I'll be using it a lot at school anyways.

I'd rather not install Cygwin either... that this is really big and I had a lot of bugs with it in first year (two years ago).
