Installing SP2 question

Featured Replies

My friend is scared of posting this here so im doing it for him...if you have a illegal copy of windows XP pro and install SP2 will microsoft shutdown your windows or anything like it?

Not only that, there will be a team of lawyers at your door within a day. They will confiscate all of your computer equipment and you will likely spend the night in jail. And that’s just for starters.

Well he wants to know if your CD key is checked and such when you download/install it...any really know by like experience?

I know many who are asked to re-activate Windows and some who are completely locked out and cant get back into Windows (ive been told this is checked against your product key) if you call Microsoft they wont help you either, no matter what excuse you give them.....

at this point is when Microsoft call their lawyers and "They will confiscate all of your computer equipment and you will likely spend the night in jail. And that’s just for starters" (joke)

In reality, you are asking us to help him use an ileagle copy of Windows. That is something that is just not done here.

However, if you read our posts right, you have your answeer.
