Hey,

I went to the Microsoft website to download WMP 10 today, and found that it auto-detected my OS (Win 2003) and only offered me WMP 9 to download. Is there anyway I can install 10 on my 2003 machine?

You can get the installer from another source I suppose, or you could use some special browser hack that will prevent the OS version from being sent out.

Or you can install SP1 for Server 2003. While it is currently in RC1 stage, I have yet to experience any major setbacks whatsoever with it. SP1 comes with WMP 10 as well as the new IE changes that came in XP SP2. Very nifty.

I think it would be best to wait until a ver is released for the 2003 platform.

Also, if you block the website from detecting the ver of windows u use, it will not allow you downlaod any ver of the player.
