asfish Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 This is a know issue with VMware, Longhorn and AMD network cards. There is a workaround discribed here .http://www.vmware.com/support/guestnotes/d...s_longhorn.htmlI've yet to get this working though, if anyone does let me know
Aerodecked Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Firstly install VMTools. If it appears to hang then use Task Manager to switch to the unsigned driver message and agree to that. Then, if you go to DeviceManager and get to the NIC - update driver. Browse to the folder under c:\program files for VMTools\drivers\network (going by memory here so be kind). It should now update the driver to VMware enhanced or summat like that. Should now work.
