coolice Posted October 22, 2001 Posted October 22, 2001 Hi !I need to change a harddrive icon shows up in the registry. The problem is that a great possibility was working in Win2k, does not work in XP. This trick was to add DriveIcons key into the registry under LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer with the icon path and the choosen drive label. But as I said this trick not working anymore. Can somebody help ?Thank you in advance,D.Moore
Harley Posted October 23, 2001 Posted October 23, 2001 The old fashion way still works:Make an INI file named autorun [autorun]icon=FAVICON.ICOPlace this file and the icon in the root.
coolice Posted October 23, 2001 Author Posted October 23, 2001 Yes, it would, however It is a special harddrive, I can not place anything into the root... Unfortunatelly.... Do you have any other idea ??
