Hi,

I just created an unattended Windows XP Pro Setup w/ winnt.sif (creating a user controlled setup). I also put in an $OEM$ folder and used the CD_Image_Pro to create the iso. When I installed it on my computer (everything seemed to work fine) the computer restarted. MY comptuter froze when it got to "Windows XP - Please Wait" I restarted the computer and now the screen just remians blank when it boots. I also tried reinstalling windows xp with my cd, but i had the same issue. Any ideas of what may be causing this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

if you have the same problem occuring after a "regular" installation I guess you have some hardware issues...

Are you able to go into SAFE MODE? You can access this option by pressing F8 during the boot process.

If it is related to hardware, I suggest the following:

1) Keep the bare minimum hardware required... 1 memory stick, one optical drive, one hard drive...

2) Update your computer bios to the latest one

3) Get in your BIOS and do a "LOAD SETUP DEFAULT" and "EXIT SAVING CHANGES"

4) Return in the bios and Disable everything not needed now (Onboard Sound, Onboard Lan, Unused EIDE or SATA controllers. etc.)

Now if you are able to do a regular installation, bring the stuff you have disabled back online one by one an make sure everything is working properly
