When I install windows XP sp1, I add some in winnt.sif as follows

[Components]

fp_extensions = on

iis_common = on

iis_doc = on

iis_inetmgr = on

iis_www_vdir_printers = on

iis_www = on

It works, but it does not work with SP2, is there any way to make it? Thanks.

Nothing's wrong with your settings, far as I can tell. :blink: I just checked ref.chm (always keep a copy by your night stand) and everything seems correct. B)

How odd.

Dunno, but u can try to dump the components name if they have changed with SP2 from SP1 with sysocmgr.exe. Maby MS have made some new dependecies when installing IIS...

Did you remove anything with nLite? :sneaky:

I'm also looking at...

iis_webadminb = Yes is a briefly mentioned switch in [Components] (ref.chm) that apparently will also install iis_common, iis_www, and iis_inetmgr...

Probably a typo, Googlin' it turned up naught.

But one for three ain't bad, saves redundancy...

Yes, look into sysoc.inf to see if any component names have changed.

Next, get the latest deploy.cab to see the updated ref.chm for components.

Then, are you sure the Components section is being processed at all? (do other choices there work?)

Lastly, go here for a comprehensive listing - some of which isn't even in the official docu.
