A Solution thread

This site is great and everyone is really helpful. I don't know if this would be a good idea, but there are many solutions for one problem(ex: WMP10 unattended), There should be a thread that regroups only solutions (like the first post of Titou2k in this thread ) that work... without comments in between post that you can go to find a solution right away without having to read all the results of everybody. In each solution you could have a link to the thread on which the solution was found. Its just an idea that i think will help newbs find what there looking for faster instead of having to look through multiple threads.

sorry, do mean to say u want to volunteer to do it. by all means if u want to make

a thread that give all the solutions for ALL the Software, Switches, HotFixes, Tweaks, and Setup BootScreens, and etc.

I think u see my point (and u hv to update how often?)

google and the msfn search feature is your best friend.

I agree with u on that point. But through other people's mistakes and errors u can

learn to avoid them.

But in the case of a thread being really cluttered with so much junk u can ask

the moderators to clean it up.

Sorry saitoh183, but I can tell you from past experience that this just won't work. Case in point, there is a thread very very similar to this one listed just 4 or 5 threads below this one as I was looking at the forum.

There are sticky threads for a reason. For any thread of this nature to work, it would have to be stickied. And, I believe, the "Threads of Interest" in this very forum is meant to serve that purpose.

It's a good idea, but, unfortunately, I just don't think it will work.

to be quite honest, the ONLY way this will work is if you get the help from the mods to keep it clean. I mean, prime examples of failures....the application switches THREADS (there are two), the autoit thread was cluttered like non other till I gleaned 7 pages from it, there was a similar post to yours to create such a thread, and it's now more oriented more toward WPI.

Instead of creating this thread, unless it's about Apps, post in the "Unattended Additions" thread and they'll be added to the website, and as such there will be NO people giving their say or asking questions. I say besides Apps, primarily because I just spend all day today working with xoops (it's an open source program) to see about creating a database to keep everything in and clean. Which is basically what you really want.....

As for other types of solutions, if you find them for me, i'll be more then happy to add them to the site (which I'm currently rewriting and reorganizing).
