tfuhrman
I have a Dell Poweredge 1300 that has beening running NT4sp6 for years. I decided to upgrade this today to Windows 2003 server. The upgrade goes through the whole process, reboots, appears as if it's going to actually load 2003, then comes up with the gray screen which says "Setup is restarting...". It then restarts the entire setup process. It goes through the whole process again and I get the same results.I had the A09 Bios and just upgraded it to A12, hopefully this fixes the problem, I'm in the middle of another setup cycle now.Has anyone else encountered similar problems upgrading from NT4 to 2003?This is a supported upgrade method from microsoft, it does work, just not in this case. tfuhrman
Well that bios upgrade did the trick. After upgrading the bios and letting the system run through it's setup one more time it rebooted and came up into windows just fine.
