saitoh183 Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I am not able to copie my WIN51IP.SP1 from my WinXP sp1 Cd (heavly scratch). It gives invalid parameter when i try. I know its problably because of the scratches, but i also have the french CD and i wanted to know if i use the WIN51IP.SP1 file from the french CD to replace the english one that cant copy, will it make a difference when i create my SP2 slipstreammed using nlite?
Vel Straty Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 That file should be just a placeholder as I've looked inside so why don't you test it? Don't you have VMWARE or some same thing? It is good to test it after you have finished creating those UA CD's e.t.c. or for any purpose in a virtual environment before you try to apply it to any system(s).
saitoh183 Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 Well i have VMware...my real question is... are the files the same on the english and french CD?...it just because i know that once the slipstream to SP2 is done i will have a WIN51IP.SP2 or something of the sort...
prathapml Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Yes, the file from french CD will work. Those WIN51* named files, are called CD idents, and are the same for all languages.
