neko1437 Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I have edited my winnt32.dll and compressed it.But i have no idea how to write this file back to the CD.Can somebody please tell me how to write my winnt32.dll fileback onto my windows xp CD?Neko
MCT Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 well, if its compressed & the filename is winnt32.dl_ just overwrite it
neko1437 Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 I was trying to overwrite it using Nero burner. But for some reason, it does allow any data to be added to the CD.It gives me the error message as: "The CD is not writeable"...So what should i do?Neko
Astalavista Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 ok dude i seems like u hv not visited http://unattended.msfn.orgpls check the site first before u start to edit winntbbu.dllbasics1. u need to copy all the files from your xp cd to your hard drive.2. dl the pdf of the guide it will tell u exactly what to do.
prathapml Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 You need to re-make your CD. Copy all files to hard-disk, modify whatever you want, then write to CD with boot-sector.And hey, just to add.... you need to "modifype" the file, and then "makecab" whatever files you have modified.Yeah, do as astalavista said, if you haven't yet seen the guide.
neko1437 Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 haha i got you, thanks a lot.I have now downloaded it. I will go through everything from the start again.Neko
