WsW-WYATT-EARP Posted December 10, 2004 Share Posted December 10, 2004 when i open add/remove programs the applet says "there are no programs installed on this computer" but if i scroll down the program list is there ... if i click on a program it drops it down to the bottom , then i scroll down to see it and the buttons "change" and "remove" are there but greyed out .. this is on all programs ...any ideas how to remedy the situation ???THANKS A TON !!!! SC00BS Posted December 10, 2004 Share Posted December 10, 2004 Navigate to the folder c:\windows\inf. Right-click on MDAC.INF and click "install." It will recopy the mdac files and reregister some of the basic registry entries. When it asks for the Windows XP CDROM, you will need to point it to the i386 directory.
