I want to set up an alert in the event viewer so that I can get notified when an error message appears in the event viewer on the domain controller. How can I go about this?

I am in a domain and I am a domain admin. And the server is a Windows 2003 Small Business Server.

Just configure SBS Server Performance Reports... I get one emailed to me every morning with a log file and a report on any and all Error Events...

Look in the Server Management Monitoring and Reporting taskpad.
