Sidekicks Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Hi there, My nephew had just purchased a new laptop and it was working fine. He was able to look at www.miniclips.com to play little games and stuff. Well, it was ok until my sister-in-law decided to install AOL IM. After installing this program, he is not able to goto miniclips.com anymore. When going to www.miniclips.com the screen says there for a second, then it gets redirected to http://channels.aol.com/(i forget) and he gets a ERROR404 File not found. I checked his host file and it was fine. Everything else was fine but I cannot seem to figure this out. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? Thank you in advance!Andy
gamehead200 Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 #1: Don't use AIM.#2: Install Ad-Aware and run it... It should get rid of whatever's causing the problem... (probably WinTangent)#3: Also install Spybot Search and Destroy. It will get rid of whatever Ad-Aware left out.Good luck!
