Delayed Write Failed on USB Drive?

I Have a Toshiba 2.5 harddrive (40 gig MK4018GAP USB Device) in a USB 2.0 External case (storage box ATN-251). The drive works most of the time but often gives me a delayed write failed error in the middle of reading and writing files.

I've checked out the following with no change:

I also updated my chipset drivers tot he latest.

I've also tried plugging it into a USB 1.0 and 2.0 slot and still I get these errors all the time.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I have windows set for no cache on the profile setting.

Id say its a bad Harddrive

or a bad usb controller chip

Either way no good for you
