Tecia Posted December 2, 2004 Share Posted December 2, 2004 Hi, i am in Win XP SP2 and install last version of apache, last version of PHP5 and MYSQL 4.1.All is runnnig well but i have problem to install open source portal like md pro (or php nuke)... there's an error that say cannot create database.When i try PHPmyadmin and i have another error:#1251 - Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL clientI try to see the manual and it say that i have to install extension mysqli...But i dont know how...Can someone help me? baggers02 Posted December 8, 2004 Share Posted December 8, 2004 I have had trouble getting php5 and mysql4.1 to work together, in the end got fed up and went back to php4.3.9 and mysql 4.0 till things settle down a bit. Suggest you do same.It seems PHP5 takes the solid foundation of 4.3.9 with mysql and then throws it out of the window! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
