Help with MYSQL

Featured Replies

Hi, i am in Win XP SP2 and install last version of apache, last version of PHP5 and MYSQL 4.1.

All is runnnig well but i have problem to install open source portal like md pro (or php nuke)... there's an error that say cannot create database.

When i try PHPmyadmin and i have another error:

#1251 - Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

I try to see the manual and it say that i have to install extension mysqli...

But i dont know how...

Can someone help me? I think the problem is mysqli but i am not sure... it's my first time with apache php and mysql

I have had trouble getting php5 and mysql4.1 to work together, in the end got fed up and went back to php4.3.9 and mysql 4.0 till things settle down a bit. Suggest you do same.

It seems PHP5 takes the solid foundation of 4.3.9 with mysql and then throws it out of the window!
