December 1, 200421 yr Hi,I'm having fun with the USB support in Win98SE, and have got to the point where it recognises the hardware but during driver install demands USBSTOR.SYS and USBNTMAP.SYS from precopy1.cab on the CD. But, it can't find them there, and the only ones I can find on the internet are Windows ME ones (which cause a BSOD).Suggestions? Could anyone just send me those SYS files?Thanks,James (james (at) alexandria.cc)EDIT: Whoops, forgot to mention I installed the unofficial SP 2 beta 2.
December 4, 200421 yr Author did you encounter any problems with that beta?Don't think so, apart from the Win2000 icons not showing up. Now I've tried it without installing anything else, and the same thing happens. Maybe there's a problem with the drivers.
January 11, 200521 yr if they didn't show up you didn't select the win me icons or your icon cache is too low
