oXiDe Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Hi,I'm looking for the silent install switch of QuickSFV (download here), it surpises me I couldn't find him anywere on the forum... Thx.
big poppa pump Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 I install it using an auto-it script. Works flawlessly. However I have decided to move on from using Quicksfv to QuickPar. I found Quickpar to be more effecient than QuickSFV and much much faster when it comes to checking the crc values of the files, plus its got a better GUI.Quickpar uses an INNO setup and can be installed using the /VERYSILENT /SP- switches.http://www.quickpar.org.uk/

oXiDe Posted December 2, 2004 Author Posted December 2, 2004 Hi again,I've made a working script , but caus I don't know a lot about scripting (yet) I kept it simple, it's just sending the TAB, the space and the enter button a few times. So if you use this script, watch it you don't press any button, it can caus problems. In the RAR file is the compiled script and the source, if you want a other install-dir then the default C:\Applications\QuickSFV you need to edit that part.QuickSFV_Silent_Installer.rar
dlevens Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Quickpar uses an INNO setup and can be installed using the /VERYSILENT /SP- switchesI cannot get my quickpar to isntall silently. I tried /s and /verysilent as well as /verysilent /sp and nothing is working?Dennis
dlevens Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 The /S worked perfectly but today I noticed that all this time quickpar has been installing silently but it does not make a folder for its shorcuts in the start menu. What it does is put the shortcut to the exe and uninstall in the root of the start menu. How do you silently install quickpar but still have it either not make shortcuts at all in the start menu or put its shortcuts in a quickpar folder in the start menu like it does for a manual install? So far I have tried /S and also /S /D="C:\Program Files\QuickPar" but both installs the shortcuts are in the root of the start menu.
