Use Advanced Search Option by default?

Ok, am I the only person that hates Windows Search 4.0??? I only installed it because Windows Live Mail requires it in order to provide full mail search (something I think should have been provided by WLM itself in the first place). There is nothing I like about WS4 - I happen to like the old Search Dog and I get sick of WS4 popping up every time I want to search, and the I have to not only click on Use Search Companion, but I have to also close the WS4 window - at the very least, selecting the Search Companion option should automatically close the WS4 window.

So my question is, how do I disable WS4 from launching when I select Search and instead return it to its original functionality with the Search Dog???
