pfgp Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 I’ve done my unattended DVD with windows XP and office 2003, all worked well, but now I can’t apply any updates to my office installation.I’ve tried the following command:msiexec /p c:\***.mspbut in the middle of the process it keeps asking for the MSI file in my original office cd.Sorry for the noob question but I don’t know what else to do. Thankspfgp
Doggie Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 put in the original office cd? may sound stupid but it asks for it so give it to it
prathapml Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Maybe you don't have the required MSI on that folder where you are updating with the patch. If you properly made an admin-install point and used the correct patching command-linesexample:msiexec /p C:\SP1\MAINSP1ff.msp /a C:\Office2003\PRO11.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qbYou should not have any problems if you followed the guide *EXACTLY* here - http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/office2003_slipstreaming.htm.
