kevinrc33 Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 HELP!!!! XP box has very slow performance due to hardtapi.exe process running, sucking up 50-99% of cpu resources. End process tree and it bounces right back. Found related file in Windows prefetch and a registry entry; deleted these, rebooted and it comes back. Found one other file--windows\web\ipatdrah.tmp (hardtapi spelled backwards) but I can't delete. Any suggestions would be MOST appreciated. Thanks, kevin
Jose Sigafus Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Do a google search for free "CopyLock" program. This will eliminate any file during a reboot.
kevinrc33 Posted December 1, 2004 Author Posted December 1, 2004 Thanks for the tip. I downloaded copylock and will try it.
