Chopper Posted October 20, 2001 Posted October 20, 2001 A while ago, I noticed someone had posted which file to use to install XP from DOS, but I can't remember what it was. I remember it was under the i386 directory, but nothing else.. Can anyone remeber, so I can file it away for future reference? Thanks,Rick
Aaron Posted October 20, 2001 Posted October 20, 2001 This file is called Winnt.exe located in your /i386 folder on your CD. Run this file to install XP from DOS. Remember to run smartdrv.exe before executing winnt.exe so that you can speed up your cd-rom drive file transfer.
Micropocalypse Posted October 20, 2001 Posted October 20, 2001 hehe.. tryed installing without smartdrv, went away for an hour and when i came back it wasnt evan at 1%.
