CuteBear
Invision Power Board v2.0.2 has been released for immediate downloadWe're proud to announce the release of IPB 2.0.2 . This release fixes almost all of the bugs reported since the release of IPB 2.0.0. A full list of bugs fixed follows at the end of this post along with all the modified template bits. This release also allows the use of the forthcoming Invision Blog which integrates into your IPB. More details will follow on Invision Blog in a separate announcement.Customers will find this download in their client center or they can log into the download manager directly with their client center log in username and password.Customers can follow the upgrade instructions contained in the download zip. Alternatively, if you have upgrade credits left, you can submit an upgrade request from your client center. Please allow a little more time for your upgrade to be completed due to the volume of requests that we get after a release date.If you are manually upgrading your IPB installation, the IPB upgrade script will upgrade to IPB 2.0.1 first - even if you are currently using IPB 2.0.1. This is normal and helps bring the numbering system back in line after the previous IPB 2.0.1 update.>> Client Center>> Download ManagerChanged Template BitsAll Global HTMLTemplate Bit: global_board_headerReason: Added blog HTMLAll Global HTMLTemplate Bit: member_barReason: Added blog HTMLMessengerTemplate Bit: inbox_table_headerReason: Inbox % chart incorrect (added style width)MessengerTemplate Bit: unsent_table_headerReason: Javascript errorSearchTemplate Bit: startReason: Added $extra variableSearchTemplate Bit: start_as_postsReason: Added $extra variableUser Control PanelTemplate Bit: Menu_barReason: Added Blog HTMLBugs FixedDaily / Weekly digest emails not working properlyACP: Importing single setting causes SQL errorACP: Editing validating member doesn't remove validating row in DBACP: Forums "Category"; radio buttons show/hide in wrong orderAnnouncement start/end dates with DST errorsMSG: Deleting a PM removes body of all saved (unsent) PMsNo email sent after revalidating email address changeSSI not showing forum name or proper dateSearch results mark forum as readMy Assistant not reporting accurate number of posts since last visitForum password cookies not cleared when logging outCalendar shows birthdays on specific day even when show bday offMSG: Inbox % chart incorrect (table too wide)MSG: Javascript error when checking boxes in Saved PM sectionssi.php not handling custom BBCode properlyAdmin email upon register using relative datesIncorrect mb string length checkingCalendar not showing October properlySuper Moderators can edit admin profileCustom fields uneditable by super-moderators when allowedACP: Wrong error routine called when editing memberACP: Quotes escaped when sending change name emailACP: SQL error when selectively deleting task logsEXTRA tag not being parsed on profile field errorsACP: View user of a permission mask, wrong edit link[attachmentid] tag not removed from the topic / PM titleSM: Small HTML bugPosting with HTML board elements shows in postsACP: Incorrect "purchase" links in ACP index pageACP: Incorrect error function called in ad_skintools.phpLink to downloads from ACP incorrectForthcoming calendar events not showing when show birthdays 'off'Anonymous online users shown as "guest" but with group's coloursMSG: Upload not attaching unless "add attachment" is pressedBulk emailer sending out duplicate copiesSearching not limiting number of results causing SQL errorACP: Adding moderator with int as username strips leading zerosLOFI: Doesn't check ban-filtersACP: Nightly stats rebuild removes most online on some systemsACP: Searching for settings returning 'hidden' matchesNon-global moderators unable to edit topic title when edting first postAfter searching and unsuspending 1 member, incorrect refresh page loadedPossible division by zero error in build_pagelinksad_mysql.php reliant on depreciated $HTTP_*_VARSSettings with backslash can cause problem on some PHP setupsTemplates inserted with same MD5 hash on fast machineRecurring calendar events not showing in "Forthcoming" calendar events sectionLanguage Changeslang_ucp.phpcp_admin_user removed.ADDED: CODE// 2.0.2'm_blog' => "Community Blog",'m_blog_ucp_main' => "Your Blog Settings",'m_blog_cblocks' => "Content Blocks Settings",'m_blog_aboutme' => "About Me Settings",'m_blog_your_blog' => "Your Blog",lang_search.phpADDED:CODE//2.0.2'too_many_children_for_santa' => '(Search results limited to first %num)',lang_global.phpADDED:CODE//2.0.2'blog' => "Blog",'myblog' => "My Blog",lang_error.phpADDED:CODE'cp_admin_user' => "You cannot edit an administrators profile from this control panel",lang_email_content.phpCODE$lang['subject__digest_forum_weeky'] = 'Your weekly new topics digest';$lang['digest_forum_weeky'] = ,This is the digest of posts in topic "" for this week.Replaced With:CODE$lang['subject__digest_forum_weekly'] = 'Your weekly new topics digest';$lang['digest_forum_weekly'] = ,This is the digest of this weeks posts in forum .http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...0entry1072843
SiMoNsAyS
i would like to use this topic to ask admins (if they know)... will msfn move to ipb2.02? sooner, later or never?
prathapml
Well, wrong place to ask! There is a topic just with this same content in "site and forum issues".Anyways, we will be moving to 2.x, but some time later. The obstacle being that the software used for main-page (news) is VirtuaNews 1.0.4 - which is incompatible with IPB 2.x. Plus, we'd like to see what problems crop up elsewhere, and solve it before rushing to it. MSFN has become a very big forum, and we'd rather stay with an old version than run into road-blocks. BTW, xper has bought the new version, anyway - so sooner or later, we *WILL* make use of it and upgrade. The limited trial version, of IPB 2.0.2 is horrifying!Take a look: http://www.invisionboard.com/?triallimitedTrial LimitationsThe trial version is encoded which means you are unable to view the PHP source or modify the PHP source. There are also these hard limits: 5000 Posts1000 Topics1000 Personal Messages200 MembersBulk Mailer DisabledLanguage Editing DisabledSQL Toolbox DisabledNo IPB Portal IncludedNo SSI Export FacilitiesNo ability to upgrade between trial versionsIf you exceed any one of these limits, your board is turned offline and access to your ACP is removed. If you choose to purchase a full Invision Power Board you can upgrade your trial version to a full version so you won't lose your current members, posts, etc. The full version comes with readable source code which means you're free to modify the PHP code for your personal use.And you can be sued if you are using this (or any older version) without a license. So no free anymore! greedy, greedy Invision........
