right ive followed a few things and no luck here can some 1 upload a version of direct x i can download and with the exsact code to slap in to the installs.cmd file cause its giving me to much grief ive tryed loads of things on here and they sent me every where! need something stupidly simply please!

I prefer not to go deeper in how to hack the exe, rather I suggest that you download DirectX9c from Here and then download version 8.1 of DirectX which you can find Here.

When you download them; Extract both of them using a Compression utility; then replace the installer of DirectX 9 with the one that comes with 8;

you'r done; you can now install DirectX9 Silenty using /Silent

To save you time, here is the the DirectX 8 Installer; now all you have to do is extract DX9 and replace it installer with this one

dxsetup.zip

Say, on what OS? Because on XP SP2 (what most people are using), there's already 9.0c in it... No need to install/update it
