Command Prompt replacement

Hi folks,

is there a possibility to replace the command prompt of WinXP to a command line utility, that looks a bit better? I saw a screenshot, where the user had a transparent console without borders and stuff click here

The main question is: Do those programs even exist?

the screenshot you posted is a linux system. This is totaly possible. In windows xp you would need a programe to do this. i think it is possible ask the quesation in the customing forum those guys can help i am sure.

I use Console.

Console is a Win console window enhancement. It was inspired by eConsole

(http://www.informatik.uni-frankfurt.de/~corion), a great console-enhancement

program (unfortunately, it seems that it's no longer being developed)

Console features include configurable font, color, size, background image and

transparency (on Win2000 and later)

Console is *not* a shell. It's simply a nice-looking front end for a shell

of your choice (cmd.exe, 4NT, ksh, Cygwin bash, etc.)
