Unable to Delete any inbox Message from Windows 98

Featured Replies

 Has anyone ever had this problem? I'm unable to delete any of my incoming email in my inbox. I keep getting more mail but can't remove it by either dragging it into the trash or by of deleting any selected messages. Is this a virus? I've research this but have found nothing in Norton's virus

Normally this is indicative that the Inbox has become corrupted. The name of the file which that is the "inbox" is Inbox.dbx. As I recall the solution is to simply delete the inbox.dbx and force OE to recreate it. If you want to attempt save some of the emails in your bad inbox send them to yourself again BUT don't download them from the server. Close OE. Delete inbox.dbx. Run OE and then download them into the new folder.
