well i have mce 2004 now i want my old windows xp sp2 cd1 to work as mce 2005 cd1 as i need the modified files so that i can install mce 2005. although there is mce2005 disk 1 on MSDN i dont want to download mce 2005 disk1 as i am not having broadband altthough i have downloaded mce 2005 disk2. can any one help me out with those mod files in mce 2005 disk1 to be put into windows xp integrated sp2 cd1?

Could you explain your problem more? I don't get it. Why do you have to use your XP SP2 with Media Center?

MCE 2005 CD1 has WMP10 instead of WMP9. It has modified wmp.inf, wmfsdk.inf,

txtsetup.sif, sysoc.inf and catfiles. And yes you can turn it into mce 2005 if you replace
