arz Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Hi all,I´m wondering does anyone know some nice tool to scan windows computers remotely from certain subnet. I´m building an auditing system to our LAN and it´s easy to do certain auditing system with tools like nmap, nessus, ect. But My problem is that despite those tools are really powerful and usefull for scanning they don´t tell me enough from computers. Of course I could use some tools like MBSA but problem is that all our computers are not in domain. We have many test comps and os/sw is changing all the time on those. That makes my life really painfull. So basicly I´d like to scan all windows computers from our LAN remotely, without having those computers in domain or even having admin passwords to those. I need to find all windows based security holes from my LAN. Does anyone have any idea?Thanksarzps. I know this sounds like hacker asking help but hey, If you want to prevent attacks you must know those ways they are coming in.
TonyRoberts Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I use retina. www.eeye.com.It's pricy, but is comprehensive.Tony.
arz Posted October 25, 2004 Author Posted October 25, 2004 That looks pretty good.Only one minus. They are not willing to tell the price on their web page which means that it must be really expensive. And ATM I´m not going to get any extra money from my manager. I think that I must keep on looking freeware products or max 500€. Yep, I know, good is newer cheap, but no can do...Thanks anyway
