Monarch Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I want to download SP2-only updates for WinXP Pro but I do not use auto-update. Completely turned off.
Blackboost Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Make sure that the Automatic Update and Backgroung Intelligence services are on Automatic on the Services directory. You can leave Automatic Updates turned OFF in the System Properties Window. Then go to Windows Update page and let it find out which Updates you need. Select the ones you want to download and install them. Reboot the PC and then change to Disable the Automatic Updates and Background Intelligence services after you're done.
