deleting shortcuts

Featured Replies

I want my unattended XP Pro w/slipstreamed SP2 installation to move a few shortcuts around in the start menu... how would I do this, and where would I specify it?

the DEL command will delete anything you want... in the start menu, desktop or anywhere.

Here's an example to delete that annoying winzip link (goes inside a .bat or .cmd file):

del "%AllUsersProfile%\Start Menu\WinZip.lnk"

Thanks for the reply. Where would be a good place to put the command in order to ensure that it is carried out as the very last step of the install?

Also, I don't suppose you could point me in the direction of a few more batch file commands, could you?

The unattended forum is a great place for help in this matter.

OK thanks. I don't suppose a mod could move this to that forum for me please?
