UPnP and Internet Gateway Device Discovery

Featured Replies

Are "UPnP User Interface" and "Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client" enabled after a slipstreamed XP Pro/SP2 installation? If not, is it possible to enable them in the winnt.sif file?

Also, is it possible to disable Outlook Express from being installed?

"Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client" component is installed automatically with an SP2 version of XP, the "UPnP User Interface" is not.

Not sure how to sort it in an answer file either, soz....

Under "[Components]" in the answer file, add "OEAccess = Off", that should hide Outlook Express for you i think. Don't think you can avoid installing it as it's pretty much integrated into IE and everything else these days.

Hope this helps.

NOTE though:

I f you don't have any UPnP devices disable that service because it's a security issue.
