icky2g Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 I'm having a very interesting problems with XP SP1. I have a Philips PSC705 soundcard installed fine. But every now and then I will got to load a media program(ie.WMP, BSplayer,Winamp) that uses the sound. It will error with something like "No sound device installed......blah..blaah" and will not be able to play sound. But if i go into Device Manager and uninstall and reinstall(without a restart) my soundcard it will then work normaly untill the next time the same thing happens. So I have tried like everything:Changed driversChanged PCI slotsChanged soundcardChanged MotherboardChanged RAMChecked for IRQ conflicts or any other hardware conflicts for that matterI realy have no clue here..Any one got something new for me to try?
