POP Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I was wondering if anybody could tell me the compression method used for .msstyle files. Like how .wmz (windows media player skin) files are made up of a .wms file, several javascript files and many bitmaps all compressed into a zip file and then the extension is changed to .wmz. So you can open a wmp skin file using winzip to see all the files inside, but you can't open .msstyle file using winzip or any of the commen compressing programs. So if anybody could tell me how the .msstyle files are compressed it would be greatly apreciated.
SiMoNsAyS Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 compression? .msstyle file has a .dll format. you can use reshacker to deep look into bmp resources
POP Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 oh. So there wont be anyway of seperating the .msstyle file into many different files?
SiMoNsAyS Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 again you can use resource hacker to split it into various bmp files but i wouldn't recommend it.better take a look to stylexp's style-builder
