Dear Sir,

I have a P3 machine with Award Modular BIOS with Trend Chipaway Virus

Onguard v 1.65.

I cannot install any operating system : Windows XP , 2000 & Mandrake Linux v 9.1

Windows XP & Windows 2000 show message like :

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA

Check to make sure any hardware or software is properly installed.

Mandrake Linux simply cannot startup from the boot disk.

Now my Hard disk works fine on the other PCs , but when I boot through

the hard disk after the initial status bar screen, the computer

simply reboots. There is no end to the reboot cycle.

Please Note:

There is no problem with the hard disk & Operating System CDs. In the

same Hard Disk I could install these Operating Systems on another PC

with P4 processor & Vesta Motherboard.

The Hard Disk has been checked for viruses by AVG Antivirus and Norton

Antivirus 2004.

But no viruses have been detected.

I have disabled Trend Chipaway Antivirus from the BIOS. But that

simply does not help.

What could be the problem?

Is it some anti-virus or boot virus?

how do I disable it ?

where all could I find help?
