Windows XP SP2 installation

Hi,

I started the Windows XP Professional SP2 Pre Integrated installation.

As in normal installation, it ask for the user name, Organisation, product key, time zone...

then the first reboot and then....

it's hanging up with the MS Windows XP logo.

I got a same problem with a slipstreamed SP2

The only way to install SP2 was installing a slipstreamed WinXP SP1 first then updated it to SP2.

The problem is the SP2 update is added HUUUUGE amounts of data to my hard drive... 2GB

Why couldn't i install Windows XP SP2 (Pre Integrated or slipstremed)???

Is there any way updating SP2 without adding an extar data of 2GB???

TNX for yr help

try this linkN-Lite I have used this before, you can remove everything you don't need..
I used it too...

First slipstream slipstreamed WinXP SP1 to SP2 + adding drivers... Splispstream ended with success.

result when I start the install, after few minutes i got this error message The entry "PCI.sys" in the [sourceDiskFiles] section of INF file is corrupt or missing. Setup cannot continue.

Second slipstream slipstreamed WinXP SP1 to SP2 only... Splispstream ended with success.

result The install start OK, first reboot... then it's hanging up with the MS Windows XP logo.
