jpatto Posted October 10, 2004 Share Posted October 10, 2004 The $OEM$ folder contains files from the manufacturer to "customise" Windows (help icons, manufacturer logos) and to install additional files such as drivers. Deleting the folder could mean reactivation too as some Cds carry the reg link to activate windows so you dont need to call MS to activate it if you ever reinstalled the system.
