Office MSI & MST files

Wen trying to do any unattended installation of Office 2000 with a MST it doesnt wait if I send the extention to setup.exe, can I send it to the MSI

setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb

so its like this

data1.msi TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb

has anyone tried this?

It’s in the runonceex which waits for the app to finish before continues anyway, just not for my Office 2000 installation and nore for my VBScripts

Mostly it can accept it, I suppose...

But the best way to know, is to try it yourself - try sending the switches to the MSI as you said. You can directly try it within windows itself, no need to _necessarily_ do it only during unattended.

It works, but asks for 2 extra crapy little files after I used shrink_lang02.exe Oh well

I had a similar problem. I solved it by calling a simple cmd file from my runonceexe, the cmd then call the startup.exe.

I got the problem because my office install was RARed. The SFX would unpack and start the installation but my runonceexe carried on once the SFX was unpacked.

The cmd file solved it.
